和楽器バンド「戦-ikusa-」 鈴華ゆう子さんの衣装をお作りしました。 Created the costume for Yuko Suzuhana/Wagakki band's "戦-ikusa-"!

おなじみ和楽器バンドのボーカル、鈴華ゆう子さんの「戦-ikusa-」の衣装をお作りしました！
I got to make an outfit for Yuuko Suzuhana, vocalist for the Wagakki Band, to wear for "戦-ikusa-"!

今回はゲーム/アニメ「戦国無双」とのタイアップ曲ということで、今までに無くシャープで強い感じに。
強さと華やかさの両立を目指しました。
This time, I wanted created a costume with a uniquely sharp, strong impression for the song tie-in for the game/anime "Sengoku-Musou(戦国無双)".
My goal was to show the coexistence of beauty and strength.


スカートはこの黒留袖から。
The skirt is from this kimono.

袖はこちらを解体して作りました。
The sleeves were made by taking this apart.

柄の上端線を境に他の素材と縫い合わせているため、上の桜柄が潰れてしまっていますが、
こうすることによってライブでとても快適になるのです（解説は長くなるので割愛）
後ろを向くと、袖の内側の赤がシャープにチラ見えするのもポイント！

The design is sown onto a separate material along the top border, meaning that the cherry blossom pattern above the line is lost, but doing it this way makes it the most comfortable for a live performance (it's a long story, so I'll leave it at that).
Turning it around, notice how red on the interior of the sleeve makes a sharp flash of color.

螺鈿（らでん：貝のきらきら部分）も入っています！
It even has mother-of-pearl!

裾が長いとライブでは危険なので、スカートが短いライブ仕様バージョン。
A long hem would be a hazard on stage, so there's a version with a short skirt meant for live performances.

写真では裾を床ギリギリにして撮影していますが、本当は安全のため床上丈です。
In photos, the hem looks like it is just touching the floor, but for safety, it's actually cut above the floor.

こちらのスカートの元の黒留袖。
金駒刺繍がピカピカな檜扇柄です
This is what the skirt is based on.
It's an embroidery with sparkling folding fan designs.

胸元にはつまみ細工と金チェーン、スワロフスキーでキラキラ華やかに。
衿は振袖用の刺繍衿を使っています。
The chest features brilliantly glittering button work and gold chains and crystal glass by Swarovsky.
For the lapel, I used the embroidered lapel for a long-sleeved kimono.

そしてこちらの袋帯の亀甲柄の部分だけを贅沢に(強調)使い・・・
Then, I used just the extravagant tortoise shell pattern(Called"Kikkou"pattern. Japanese traditional pattern.) from this sash...

帯コルセットに仕立てました！
同じく亀甲柄のメタルパーツの付いたベルトで強い感じに。
裾に付けたコサージュは帯締めから。房はオリジナルで作りました
To make a sash corset!
The belt makes a strong impression with a metal version of the same sort of tortoise shell pattern.
The corsage attached to the hem is a decorative string meant to hold the sash in place.
The tassels are originals.

裾には角度によって赤にも黒にも見える麻の葉柄の生地（たしか道行だったもの）を使い、綿を入れて重厚感を出しました。
The hem uses angles to make a traditional flax-leaf pattern on the fabric in red and black, while the cotton creates a dignified feel.
